Your data is yours. When your subscription ends, your account switches to read-only mode. You can still view everything and export it all as JSON at any time. Nothing is deleted unless you explicitly request it. Adding new entries will require an active subscription.

Why pay for hosting if the code is open source?

If you're comfortable managing Docker, database hardening, SSL certificates, and updates yourself, self-hosting is a great option. The $45/year plan is for everyone who'd rather skip that and just start budgeting.

Where is my financial data stored?

The app runs on US-based infrastructure. Your data is encrypted at rest (AES) and is never sold, shared, or used for advertising. We're a budget tool, not a data broker.
