Our Philosophy
We built moneystill to help you find peace with your finances — and that includes peace of mind regarding your data. We don't sell your data and we don't use social media pixels.
Registration & Account
To use moneystill, you need to create an account. We collect the absolute minimum required:
- Email Address: For login, account identification, and password resets.
- Budget Data: Your personal financial plans (categories, amounts). This data belongs exclusively to you.
Legal Basis: Data processing is performed to fulfill our service agreement with you.
Google Login (OAuth)
If you choose to log in via Google, we receive the necessary profile information (name, email address, profile picture) from Google. We use this strictly for authentication and account mapping.
Infrastructure & Security
Your data is stored encrypted in a self-hosted database. We use PocketBase for our backend.

Cookies & Local Storage
We use no marketing cookies. We only use technically necessary tokens in your browser's local storage to keep you logged in. These become invalid when you log out.
Analytics
We collect non-identifiable information (such as browser type and country) to improve our service. This helps us ensure the website functions correctly across different devices and regions.
Your Rights
Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly within the application settings. This action is immediate and irreversible, and all your data will be permanently removed from our databases.
Portability
You have full control over your data. You can import or export your entire budget dataset as a JSON file at any time directly through the user interface.
